Sanding, Sanding, and a Steal

The bathroom project has been a long year in the making. Blake is still working on it but we are finally starting to see some real changes. Below is a picture of the new window that was put in this past summer. After this picture was taken, Blake pulled all the plaster and lathe off the wall and drywalled it.

Blake completely rewired the electric to the bathroom from the electrical box. He couldn't put GFCI's in until he had a ground wire. The old wiring....well was old! Now we have lights! Two tiny lights above the bathtub and one above the shower. Still need one on the other wall, but soon!

Now for the Steal I mentioned. Browsing on the internet we found a beautiful piece of furniture. For $1,000 less than originally sold for. This is the second one that has arrived. The first one was badly damaged and was sent back. It is around 400 pounds and we have no idea how it is going to get up the stairs but we will figure it out. We just couldn't pass up the great deal.

This is the top of the vanity. Complete with black granite counter and two sinks!
