operation pink removal

Ok Sorry this picture is so big but at least you will get the whole appreciation of the "pinkness". So this is the before, very pink!

The first pink removal was the pink toilet. Bye Bye.

Then he knocked the closet wall out, put up a new false wall, and installed shower walls. Yeah we will have a walk in shower for the very first time ever.

Then it was time to refinish the clawfoot tub. We bought it for only 300. It just needed some scraping and sanding. Then Blake spray painted it black again.

Now it was time to rip the fiberglass walls off of the shower. And we discovered old turquoise plastic tiles. The bathroom smelled like shut up 50 year old wet. I know not good.

Here it is without the fiberglass walls, but there is still the ugly pink tub.

Well bye bye pink tub! Blake busted it up with a sledge hammer. It was such a mess. The pink enamel left shards all over the place. But hey the tub was gone!

The turquoise tile was glued onto a false wall behind the old tub. Blake pulled the false wall of and found out the walls used to be beige and peach. Then he installed the clawfoot tub. He was up til 4am just so we could get the water turned back on to the house.

So we have a lot of work left to do. We are planning on redrywalling the walls behind the tub. Finishing the walk-in shower. Pulling the pink cabinets and sinks out and tiling the floor. But Blake made progress and I am so excited about my new tub!

Looks great so far! We are thinking of re-doing our bathroom in a couple years. It's so expensive!
